Philip Rosenblatt Display Device While not really a patent for a Christmas item, this device works on the same principle as a bubble light, and pre-dates patents for them by at least two years. Abraham Wolf Electric Light socket An ingenious invention that allows the consumer to attach light sockets anywhere upon a suitable electrical cord, thus allowing freedom in light placement on the Christmas tree. The sockets were first offered by a company named Iron Firemen, but the patent rights were later purchased by NOMA, who sold the socket and wire outfits under the name "On-A-Lite". Clarence R. Janz Electric Lighting set This invention makes light distribution on a Christmas tree easier. Several groups of lights are plugged into a central distribution line. Carl W. Otis Ornamental Illuminating Device This is Carl Otis' second patent for the bubble lights, consisting of improvements and refinements to his previous efforts.
